This week, we have another Jump Up Story for you about a member of the A Data Pro family who is at the beating heart of our teamwork.
Account Manager, growth seeker and more… Ani grabbed our attention!
Meet Anna Petkova
If teamwork is the key to great accomplishments, Ani is one of those PROs whom, in Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, every productive crew would address with the famous phrase “My Preciousss…”
She is indeed, because she has exhibited the superpower of collaborating on a sky high level for over 13 years and has contributed her priceless know-how every time the team put together a complex media intelligence puzzle.
Please tell us a little bit about yourself
A traveler, a dreamer, and a personal learner- this is who I am!
I love the ocean, its power, its innocent beauty and its unknown depths. I love traveling across the globe, but my favorite destination of all times is the one leading to my inner self.
When I was growing up, I had a new dream of my future every time I watched an interesting movie. Having so many dreams is good, because you cover a ton of eventualities and you have a wide range of possible choices.
My biggest influence was my favorite teacher, who taught me that to grow as a professional I must grow as a person.
What is your ADP Story?
My ADP journey started in 2008 as a business journalist with Spanish and English. My focus was on the Spanish corporate market. It was super interesting because I love Spain and I was very happy that my job was giving me an opportunity to rediscover the country from a different angle.
A few years later the stars aligned in a way that led me to my current position in ADP – an account manager. This role has expanded my horizons greatly. It introduced me into a totally different world opening the door for so many new people and skills.
What are you most proud of when it comes to your work in ADP?
I am proud of the “journey from I to We” on which I embarked a few years ago along with my team. I am very proud of them and how much we have grown professionally and personally TOGETHER.
What would you advise your younger self?
People are different. Acknowledge that difference, allow it to be there, accept it, and finally appreciate it.
We live in a dynamic world. How do you expect the industry you work in to change over the next 12 months? (ex. interesting tendencies, trends, latest developments etc.)
I would say that the consolidation in the media intelligence sector will be still a topic. A lot of companies follow the trend to acquire capabilities and combine them with their current products.
Which fictional character do you feel you’re most like? What traits do you share with them?
My favorite movie is the Lord of the Rings, so I guess I shall pick up somebody from there. Maybe, Frodo Baggins. I love how he managed to overcome his own fears and complete the mission regardless of any obstacles on the way. I relate to his courage and personal growth.
