Are you ready to Jump Up with another superhero from our team? Today shining bright in the spotlight is A Data Pro’s Project Manager Tsvetomir Tsonev.

Meet Tsvetomir

Trustworthiness, drive for excellence, and a great sense of humor is the perfect match for a great leader – meet Tsvetomir Tsonev – the guru of excel, the soul of the database management account.

Please tell us a little bit about yourself

Hi everyone, Tsvetomir here! I was born and raised in Popovo – a small town in the northeastern part of the country. Over the years, however, Veliko Turnovo has become my natural habitat. I moved here to attend high school, and even though it was not love at first sight, I decided to give the old capital another chance and attend university here as well. Best decision ever, as I gradually became enamored with what the city has to offer. The whole university gig paid off as well – I hold a Master’s degree in Project Management.

My two favorite things in the world are polar opposites. I adore traveling and examining the beautiful weirdness of faraway places and cultures just as much as I love staying at home. In detail, the latter is basically a rotation of watching carefully selected TV shows, reading autobiographies, and my newest passion – playing guitar. Having done it for some time now I can confidently conclude I am not Jimi Hendrix reincarnated (my neighbors tend to agree).

What is your ADP Story?

My ADP journey began in 2011 as a freelancer. Of course, my first day at the job had to be on April 1st. Initially, it was a part-time student job (I am sure a lot of people who started back in those days can relate). Later on, I was offered a full-time position, which at the time corresponded perfectly to my growing interest in the world of data and my willingness to dedicate more time to it. With eleven years and countless projects down the road, I am currently a Project Manager in the company’s Data Management account. Revisiting memories I can summarize that I am a fortunate one – I have had the chance to participate in some very exciting projects and to be surrounded by great professionals who never shied away from sharing some of their experiences.

What are you most proud of when it comes to your work in ADP?

Luckily, it is hard for me to distinguish just one thing. If I absolutely have to – it is going to be the people I work with (and have worked with in the past). A kind word from a happy client never fails to bring a smile too.

What would you advise your younger self?

Be more confident. Oh, and having as many bitcoins as possible can’t hurt either.

We live in a dynamic world. How do you expect the industry you work in to change over the next 12 months? (ex. interesting tendencies, trends, latest developments etc.)

We are living in very interesting times. Very interesting for the very worst reasons, unfortunately. The current politico-economic environment makes it extremely challenging to predict future trends but my money is on machine learning and sanctions-related business intelligence.

Which fictional character do you feel you’re most like? What traits do you share with them?

Mix my occasionally sarcastic and often ineffective sense of humor with the fact that none of my friends knows exactly what I do at work. Add just a pinch of “dead inside” for flavor – voilà, I am a Chandler Bing from Friends.
